In the holidays a few friends and I ventured (in j’s kombi!) to riverstage to enjoy some live tunes by blue king brown and the john butler trio. And, wow, it was incredible. During the entire instrumental, ‘ocean’, the thousands of people in the crowd were silent, just taking in the music. It sent shivers down my spine. That was an amazing few minutes. He sang ‘peaches and cream’ for the encore, with the crowd singing along at the end. I think this song is beautiful. We stopped for chai at the three monkeys before heading home - such a wonderful night.
